The B5 Systems Collapsible Precision Stock (Short) is an adjustable precision rifle stock for AR-15 and M4 rifles, fitting any Mil-Spec-diameter carbine receiver extension.
The B5 Systems Collapsible Precision Stock in Short configuration attacks the classic compromise between precision fit and carbine handling. Its precision-adjustable cheek riser sets your eye exactly behind the optic, the buttpad adjusts to fine-tune the shoulder interface, and the whole stock still collapses on a Mil-Spec carbine extension for storage and transport. The Short length keeps overall dimensions tight — ideal for shorter shooters, armor users and compact builds.
B5 Systems over-builds its adjustment hardware, and the CPS carries that through: rigid, repeatable lockup and locks that hold their settings through recoil and rough handling. For scoped gas guns that need to fit properly and pack small, the CPS Short is a rare piece of engineering.
Key Features
- Precision-adjustable cheek riser — exact eye-to-optic alignment
- Adjustable buttpad — fine-tuned shoulder fit
- Collapses on a Mil-Spec tube — precision fit, carbine footprint
- Short configuration — compact builds and shorter shooters
- Three colors — Black, Flat Dark Earth, Coyote Brown
Compatibility & Fitment
Fits AR-15/M4 rifles running a Mil-Spec-diameter carbine receiver extension (buffer tube), replacing a standard collapsible stock on the existing tube — no change of buffer or spring is normally involved. Commercial-diameter tubes are a different size and will not take it, so check your tube specification before ordering. Once fitted, set cheek height behind your optic and adjust the buttpad; the settings stay put once locked.

Frequently Asked Questions
What buffer tube does the short CPS need?
It fits AR-15/M4 rifles with a Mil-Spec-diameter carbine receiver extension, which is the same tube a standard collapsible stock uses. Commercial-diameter tubes are a different size and will not take it, so check your tube specification before ordering. If you cannot tell which you have, measure it or send us your rifle details and we can help.
What is the difference between the short and medium CPS?
The lengths refer to the stock body itself, which sets where the collapsed and extended positions fall relative to the receiver. The short version suits shooters who want a more compact overall length, run body armor, or have a shorter reach. If you shoot from the bench or prone with a longer hold, the medium-length CPS is usually the better pick.
What can be adjusted on this stock?
The CPS has a precision cheek riser and an adjustable buttpad on top of the usual collapsible length positions, so you can get eye height right behind an optic and still fold the stock down for transport. That combination is what separates it from a plain carbine stock, which only offers length. Set the cheek height first so your head sits naturally, then work out the length that puts the trigger comfortably under your finger.
Which colors are offered and is anything else required?
Short-length CPS stocks come in Black, Flat Dark Earth and Coyote Brown. Nothing extra is needed if you already have a Mil-Spec carbine tube, buffer and spring.
