The Warne QD X-SKEL 34mm Quick Detach Cantilever Scope Mount, Dark Earth is a one-piece skeletonized cantilever mount that carries a 34mm main tube scope on a Picatinny rail, finished in Dark Earth. It places the scope over 2 inches (51 mm) further forward than a receiver-mounted ring set and locks on with two quick-detach levers.

How It Compares

The identical mount in matte black is the Warne QD X-SKEL 34mm cantilever scope mount in matte black (QDXSKEL34TW). The other Dark Earth size is the Warne QD X-SKEL 30mm cantilever scope mount in Dark Earth. For a fixed mount with 20 MOA of built-in elevation rather than quick-detach levers, see the Warne LR-SKEL 34mm 20 MOA cantilever scope mount. Browse all rifle scope mounts.

Ideal For

  • Practical and service rifle work on a flat-top Picatinny receiver, where eye relief has to be set forward of the charging handle
  • Rifles finished in Dark Earth, FDE or tan, where a matte black mount would stand out
  • Running a 34mm scope that needs to come off between sessions and go back on the same zero
  • Target rifle setups that share one optic between two rifles

Key Features

  • Tube Diameter: 34 mm — integral rings, no separate rings needed
  • Mount: Picatinny rail, dual quick-detach levers for repeatable return to zero
  • Cantilever: Over 2 inches (51 mm) of forward scope placement for correct eye relief
  • Height: MSR Ideal Height, giving a natural cheek weld on a flat-top receiver
  • Material: Skeletonized 6061-T6 aluminum with steel threaded inserts at the ring-cap screws
  • Finish: Dark Earth

What's Included

Frequently Asked Questions

What scope tube diameter does the Warne QD X-SKEL QDXSKEL34DE fit?
The Warne QD X-SKEL QDXSKEL34DE has integral 34mm rings, so it fits scopes with a 34mm main tube only.

Is the Dark Earth version mechanically different from the black one?
No. QDXSKEL34DE and QDXSKEL34TW are the same mount with the same dimensions, materials and quick-detach levers; only the finish differs.

Does the Warne QD X-SKEL return to zero after it is taken off?
Yes — the two quick-detach levers are designed to give a repeatable return to zero when the mount is refitted to the same rail slots.

How far forward does the Warne QD X-SKEL move the scope?
The cantilever places the scope over 2 inches (51 mm) forward of the mounting point, which is what lets you set correct eye relief on a flat-top receiver instead of being tied to where the action puts the rings.

Should I use threadlocker on the ring cap screws?
No. Warne advises against threadlocker on the ring-cap screws and specifies a maximum of 25 in-lb (2.8 Nm), tightened evenly in an alternating pattern.
