Product details

The Magpul MS3 Single QD GEN2 is a convertible one-point / two-point rifle sling with a single push-button QD swivel, attaching to any standard QD sling socket.

The Magpul MS3 Single QD Sling GEN2 (MAG515) replaces the Paraclip of the standard MS3 with a hard-use push-button QD sling swivel, built for rifles already set up with QD sockets. You keep the MS3's signature trick — converting between two-point carry and one-point speed in seconds — and gain the ability to click the sling on and off the rifle instantly.

GEN2 refinements matter in the hand: lower-profile hardware that will not snag on gear, a forged swivel that resists bending and accidental release, and dense custom-woven nylon that runs smoothly through the adjuster. Cinch the rifle down for hands-free tasks, dump slack to mount the gun, or drop to one-point when working in and around vehicles and doorways.

Key Features

  • One-point / two-point convertible: change carry style in seconds
  • Push-button QD swivel: on and off the rifle instantly
  • Forged GEN2 hardware: strength where cheap slings fail
  • Smooth one-handed adjustment: quiet cinch and slack dump
  • Three colorways: Black, Coyote, Ranger Green

Compatibility & Fitment

Attaches with a single industry-standard push-button QD swivel, so you need at least one QD socket on the rifle. Many current stocks and M-LOK handguards have them; older furniture often does not. If yours has no sockets, add one such as the Magpul M-LOK QD Sling Mount (MAG606) before you buy — the sling then fits in seconds without tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need fitted to use this sling?
It attaches with a single industry-standard push-button QD swivel, so you need at least one QD socket on the rifle. Many current stocks and M-LOK handguards have them; older furniture often doesn't. If yours has no sockets, add one such as the Magpul M-LOK QD Sling Mount (MAG606) before you buy.

Why only one QD swivel?
The single-QD layout means one end of the sling detaches instantly while the other stays fixed, which is enough to switch between one-point and two-point carry or to shed the sling in a hurry. Fewer QD swivels also means fewer sockets needed on the rifle. It keeps cost and clutter down compared with a dual-QD sling.

Can it be run as a one-point?
Yes, it's a convertible design, so it works as a two-point for carrying and steadying and converts to one-point when you want the rifle to hang freely and swap shoulders. The change is done at the sling rather than needing tools. Set it up on the rifle and try both before deciding which you leave it in.

Which colors are there, and how does it differ from the MS3 Sling GEN2?
Black, Coyote and Ranger Green are offered. The MS3 Sling GEN2 is the same sling family with different attachment hardware, so check that listing if your rifle doesn't have QD sockets.
