Product details

The Reptilia AGS Mount is a one-piece riflescope mount built for modern bolt-action rifles, holding the scope at a low 1.34in centerline over the rail with 20 MOA of elevation bias built in.

Low over the action, with 20 MOA already in the mount. The turret starts closer to where you need it at distance.

Reptilia describes the AGS as a precision optic mounting solution purpose-built for modern bolt-action rifles, and the low 1.34in centerline is the point of it: the optic sits closer to the bore, which gives a more natural cheek weld on a conventional stock. Dealers commonly list the same mount as 1.3in; 1.34in is Reptilia's own published figure and the one we quote.

The 20 MOA is machined into the mount as a forward inclination, so the scope's internal elevation starts biased for distance and you keep more usable travel at the top of the dial. Reptilia makes 0 MOA versions of the AGS as well; those are not part of this listing. It is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum in MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodizing and weighs 5.2 oz (148 g). Made in the USA.

Key Features

  • 1.34in centerline over rail: Reptilia's own figure — the trade lists the same mount as 1.3in
  • 20 MOA built in: Elevation bias machined into the mount, so more of the scope's travel is left for distance
  • Built for bolt-action rifles: A low, natural cheek weld on a conventional precision stock
  • One-piece body: Base and rings are the same part, so there is no base-to-ring joint to move
  • 5.2 oz (148 g): Billet 7075-T6 aluminum in MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodizing

Compatibility & Fitment

Fits riflescopes with a 30mm or 34mm main tube — choose the diameter above — on any M1913 Picatinny rail, which on a bolt-action precision rifle means a rail bolted to the action. This listing is the 20 MOA version only; Reptilia also produces the AGS in 0 MOA, which is a different part and is not part of this listing. Tube diameter and MOA are both fixed once you have chosen, because a one-piece mount cannot be re-cut. If you want a taller sightline for a chassis with a high adjustable comb, the AUS Mount at 1.93in is the other end of Reptilia's range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it 1.3in or 1.34in?
Both numbers describe the same mount. 1.34in is Reptilia's own published centerline height over the rail; 1.3in is the rounded figure most dealers print. We quote Reptilia's figure and note the dealer form so you can match this listing against a catalog that uses the other one.

What does 20 MOA actually do?
It tilts the scope forward by a fixed amount relative to the bore, so at long range you have already used up part of the elevation you would otherwise dial in. That leaves more of the scope's internal travel available at distance. The trade-off is that at very short range you may run low on down-elevation, which is why 0 MOA versions exist for rifles that are not shot far.

Do I get 30mm and 34mm in one purchase?
No. The tube diameter is a choice, not a set. A one-piece mount is machined to one ring diameter and cannot take an insert, so pick the diameter that matches your scope's main tube from the maker's specification rather than by eye — 30mm and 34mm are close enough to misjudge.

Is this for an AR-15?
It is built for modern bolt-action rifles, and that is how Reptilia describes it. It clamps to Picatinny, so it will physically fit a flat-top AR-pattern upper, but the low 1.34in centerline is chosen for a bolt gun's stock geometry rather than an AR's. For a gas gun such as an AR-15, the taller AUS heights usually suit better.
