VX series: built for hunting
The VX line (VX-3HD, VX-5HD, VX-6HD and similar) is designed to be lightweight and rugged for carrying all day. It leans toward second focal plane reticles, capped or CDS elevation turrets that stay out of the way, and forgiving eye boxes — everything a hunter wants when the shot is usually one round at a known distance.
Mark series: built for precision and duty
The Mark line (Mark 4HD, Mark 5HD and similar) is the tactical and precision family. Expect exposed, tactile turrets for constant dialing, first focal plane reticles so holdovers stay true at any power, higher magnification ranges and heavier, more robust builds. It is aimed at long-range and duty shooters.
Which is right for you?
- VX if you hunt, value low weight, and mostly aim with the center or hold over occasionally.
- Mark if you dial for distance, want FFP and exposed turrets, and prioritize precision over weight.
