Privacy policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how D&R Sports Center ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information through dnrsports.com and our related services (the "Services"). It applies to consumers in the United States, which is the only market we sell to and ship to.
Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify hosts the Services and processes personal information on our behalf, and for certain features processes it for its own purposes. See Shopify's role below.
By using the Services you confirm you have read this policy. If it conflicts with our Terms of Service on any question about personal information, this policy controls.
1. Notice at collection
The table below is our notice at collection: what we collect, where it comes from, why we use it, who we disclose it to, and how long we keep it. Categories are given in the terms used by the California Consumer Privacy Act so they can be compared directly against the statute.

We retain information beyond these periods only where we must to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
2. Sensitive personal information
We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined under US state privacy laws. Specifically, we do not collect Social Security, driver's license, state ID or passport numbers; precise geolocation; racial or ethnic origin; religious or philosophical beliefs; union membership; health, biometric or genetic data; sexual orientation or sex life; or the contents of your mail, email or messages other than those you send to us. We therefore do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose requiring a right to limit it.
3. How we use personal information
- To perform our contract with you — processing payments, fulfilling and shipping orders, handling returns, exchanges and warranty claims, managing your account, and sending order and account notifications.
- To operate and improve the Services — remembering preferences, recommending related products, measuring how the store performs, and fixing problems.
- Marketing — sending promotional email where you have signed up, and advertising to you on other sites based on what you have viewed or bought.
- Security and fraud prevention — authenticating accounts, securing checkout, and detecting and acting on fraudulent, unlawful or abusive activity.
- Legal compliance — meeting tax and recordkeeping obligations, complying with United States export control and sanctions laws that apply to certain optics and night vision products we sell, responding to valid legal process, and enforcing our terms.
4. How we disclose personal information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we have never done so.
We disclose personal information for the business purposes above to: Shopify, as our platform provider; our payment processor; fulfillment, warehousing and shipping partners; email, helpdesk and analytics providers; advertising partners; and our professional advisers. We also disclose information when you direct us to, when a law or valid legal process requires it, to enforce our terms, to protect our rights and the safety of others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or insolvency.
Targeted advertising. We use advertising and analytics partners that set cookies and receive identifiers and browsing activity in order to show you relevant advertising. Under several state privacy laws this counts as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and in some states as a "sale," even though no money changes hands. You can opt out at any time: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
Minors. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know or should reasonably know is under 18.
5. Cookies, tracking and opt-out preference signals
We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary — keeping you signed in, holding your cart, securing checkout — and the store will not work properly without them. Others support analytics and advertising, and you can decline those through the consent controls on our site or in your browser settings.
We honor the Global Privacy Control and other recognized opt-out preference signals. If you visit with such a signal enabled, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for the browser and device you are using, and, where we can link that device to an account, for the account as well. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals, which have no agreed standard.
6. Artificial intelligence and large language models
We do not sell, share or otherwise make available your personal information for the purpose of training large language models or other generative artificial intelligence systems. Where a feature of the Shopify platform uses automated processing, Shopify's own privacy policy governs that processing. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects for you.
7. Shopify's role
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes information about your use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. Information you submit is transmitted to Shopify and may be shared with third parties located outside your state or country. For certain enhanced features, Shopify processes personal information from your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify itself for its own purposes; for those, Shopify is the responsible party and handles rights requests directly. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
8. Where your information is processed
Your personal information is processed in the United States by Shopify, our payment processor and our fulfillment partner. Our business is operated from the United Kingdom, and our personnel and certain service providers may access your information from outside the United States. Wherever it is accessed from, it remains subject to this policy and to contractual protections with our providers.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children. You must be at least 18 to place an order. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and as of the date above we have no actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, and checkout and payment run over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Information you send us may not be protected in transit, so please do not email us sensitive or confidential information.
11. Your rights
Depending on the state where you live, you may have the rights below. Where a right is available to residents of any state, we extend it to all United States customers as a matter of practice.
- Know and access — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to.
- Delete — ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
- Correct — ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Portability — receive a copy in a portable, readily usable format.
- Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising — through Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information or an opt-out preference signal.
- Know the recipients — where your state provides it, a list of the third parties that received your personal information.
- Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from any promotional email. We will still send transactional messages about your orders and account.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service for exercising any of these rights. We operate no financial incentive programs tied to personal information.
How to make a request. Email support@dnrsports.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line, or call +1 570-262-5566. To opt out of sale or sharing you do not need to submit a request — use the opt-out page.
Verification. We will ask you to confirm information we already hold, such as the email address and order details on your account, so we can be confident we are responding to the right person. We will not use what you give us for verification for any other purpose.
Authorized agents. An agent may submit a request for you if they provide written permission signed by you. We may still contact you directly to confirm.
Timing. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extending once by a further 45 days where the request is complex, in which case we will tell you before the first period ends.
Appeals. If we refuse your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing support@dnrsports.com with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond in writing within 45 days with our decision and our reasons. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you how to complain to your state attorney general.
12. State-specific notices
California. Under the Shine the Light law (Civil Code § 1798.83), California residents may request details of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing in the previous calendar year. We do not disclose personal information for that purpose. California residents also have the rights set out in section 11.
Nevada. Nevada residents may submit a verified request that we not sell covered information. We do not sell covered information for money, but you may still submit a request to support@dnrsports.com.
All other states. We apply the rights in section 11 to every United States customer regardless of state, so this policy does not list them individually.
13. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and update it when our practices change or the law requires. The revised policy is posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and where the law requires it we will give you direct notice.
