The Reptilia CQG-NB is a molded pistol grip for AR-15, AR-10 and SR-25 rifles, built without a beavertail for shooters who prefer a classic A2-style feel.
The CQG geometry, minus the beavertail — for receivers and hands that do not want one.
Not every build wants a beavertail. Some receivers already carry a large integral one, some shooters simply prefer the clean A2-style transition from grip to receiver, and on some hands a beavertail sits in the wrong place entirely. The CQG-NB ("no beavertail", or sans beavertail as Reptilia prints it) removes it and leaves the rest of the grip alone.
That means you keep the steep near-vertical angle that rolls the wrist forward into a strong hold, the anti-slip texturing front and rear, and the same toughened reinforced nylon molding used across the CQG range. At 2.7 oz (76 g) it is fractionally the lightest of the three AR grips in the family.
Key Features
- No beavertail: Clean A2-style feel, and no clash with an integral receiver beavertail
- Steep vertical angle: The same strong wrist position as the standard CQG
- Anti-slip front and rear texture: Holds in gloves, rain or sweat
- Reinforced nylon molding: 2.7 oz (76 g), hard-wearing and non-slick
- Broad platform coverage: AR-15, AR-10, SR-25, MCX and SCAR builds
Compatibility & Fitment
Fits AR-15, AR-10 and SR-25 pattern lowers, and SIG MCX and FN SCAR 16 and 17 pattern hosts, using the standard grip screw. If you do want the raised beavertail, the standard CQG is the same grip with one fitted; if you want more length in the hand, see the CQG-L.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose the CQG-NB over the standard CQG?
Because your receiver already has a large integral beavertail, or because you prefer the classic A2-style feel where the grip meets the receiver cleanly. Mechanically the two grips are otherwise the same — same angle, same texture, same material.
Does removing the beavertail change the trigger reach?
It lets the hand sit slightly lower on the receiver than the beavertailed CQG, which lengthens the reach to the trigger a little. Shooters with longer fingers often prefer it for exactly that reason.
Is FDE Peanut Butter the same as Flat Dark Earth?
No — FDE Peanut Butter is Reptilia's own printed color name for this grip and is a warmer, lighter tan than the Flat Dark Earth used elsewhere in the range. Do not assume the two will match on the same rifle.
