Product details

The Reptilia ROF-SAR is a red dot adapter for the Trijicon RMR and SRO, described by Reptilia as a drop-in upgrade for 34mm optics.

One optic footprint, one tube diameter. The ROF-SAR adds a miniature red dot to the scope you already run.

Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodizing, at 1.6 oz (45 g), and supplied with extended bit drivers. It carries the red dot above the scope, so the secondary sight is part of the optic rather than another item competing for space on the receiver rail.

Two sighting solutions, one rifle, and no compromise on either. The magnified optic keeps the zero you set for distance; the dot is zeroed separately for close work and stays that way. On an AR-15 used for both practical shooting and longer deliberate strings, that is the difference between swapping optics between stages and simply changing where you look. Made in the USA.

Key Features

  • Drop-in upgrade: Reptilia's own description; it fits 34mm optics with no rail work
  • One footprint: Cut for the Trijicon RMR and SRO and nothing else
  • Billet 7075-T6 aluminum: MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodized, 1.6 oz (45 g)
  • Extended bit drivers supplied: The tools to fit it are in the box
  • Independent zero: The dot holds a close-range zero while the scope keeps yours

Compatibility & Fitment

Fits Trijicon RMR and SRO, plus Holosun HS407, HE407, HS507, HE507 and HE508 series, on a 34mm optic. Reptilia publishes this as a drop-in upgrade for 34mm optics and does not publish a list of individual scopes, so check your optic against it before ordering. Optic footprint and tube diameter are both fixed on this listing: RMR footprint, 34mm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the ROF-SAR fit my scope?
It is made for 34mm optics. Reptilia publishes it that way rather than as a list of individual scopes, so check your optic's specification before ordering.

Which red dots does it take?
One footprint: Trijicon RMR and SRO, plus the Holosun HS407, HE407, HS507, HE507 and HE508 series. A version cut for another optic will not take yours.

How is this different from the ROF-90 and the ROF-45?
The ROF-SAR replaces your mount's ring cap entirely, which is what lets it carry the dot low over the bore. The 34mm ROF-90 instead sits on top of the ring cap and holds the dot at 12 o'clock, and the 34mm ROF-45 holds it at 45 degrees so you roll the rifle to find it. All three take the same optic footprint and the same 34mm ring diameter, so the decision is where you want the dot rather than what will fit.
