Product details

The Reptilia SOCKET Sling Loop Mount is a fixed M-LOK sling attachment point for AR-15 handguards, using a PVC-coated stainless steel cable loop.

A permanent sling point with no metal-on-metal rattle and nothing to unclip by accident.

This is the SOCKET family's fixed-loop member, built at the request of a military end-user group for an anti-snag, low-profile, quiet M-LOK attachment. Instead of a push-button socket it carries a 304 stainless steel cable — 7×7 construction with a PVC coating — that the sling threads through and stays on.

The cable is the point of the design. It has no hard edges to snag, it cannot rattle against the handguard the way a steel loop does, and the coating keeps it quiet against gear. The body is billet 7075-T6 aluminum finished in MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hardcoat anodize, and it mounts flush into a standard M-LOK slot.

Key Features

  • PVC-coated stainless cable loop: Quiet against the handguard, with nothing to snag
  • Fixed attachment: The sling cannot be unclipped by accident under load
  • Low-profile M-LOK body: Sits close in the slot rather than sticking out
  • Billet 7075-T6 with hardcoat anodize: A hard-wearing body in Black Anodized or FDE Anodized
  • Designed to an end-user request: Built around a stated military requirement, not a styling brief

Compatibility & Fitment

Fits any M-LOK handguard or forend, on an AR-15, AR-10 or any rifle running M-LOK. It is a fixed loop, not a quick-detach socket — the sling threads through the cable and stays there. If you want to take the sling on and off, the SOCKET M-LOK QD Sling Mount is the push-button version. Same family name, different product.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as the SOCKET QD Sling Mount?
No, and this is the most common mix-up in the range. Both are called SOCKET and both fit M-LOK, but this one is a fixed cable loop the sling threads through, and the SOCKET M-LOK QD Sling Mount is a push-button socket that takes a quick-detach swivel. Choose by whether the sling ever comes off.

Why a cable rather than a solid loop?
A PVC-coated stainless cable has no hard edges to catch on gear and does not clatter against the handguard, which is why it was specified that way. It is 304 stainless in 7×7 construction, so it is a structural cable rather than a cosmetic one.

Does it need any extra hardware?
It mounts into a standard M-LOK slot. It takes a sling threaded directly through the cable loop, so no QD swivel is needed or used.
