The BCM MCMR-SM is a low-profile quick-detach sling mount for AR-15 and M4 rifles, attaching directly to any M-LOK handguard.
A forward sling point is the difference between a rifle that hangs correctly and one that swings into everything. The MCMR-SM gives you one without adding a lump to the handguard: it is machined entirely from steel, sits low against the rail, and locks into the M-LOK slots through an eight-position non-rotational interface. That interface is the important part. A sling mount that can rotate under load will eventually rotate under load, and this one cannot.
The eight positions let you index the socket where you want it around the handguard, so the sling leaves the rifle at an angle that suits how you carry it rather than wherever the part happened to bolt up. It accepts any standard push-button QD sling swivel, which is sold separately.
How It Compares
This is the M-LOK version, so it will not attach to a KeyMod handguard or to a Picatinny rail — for a 1913 rail use the BCM Picatinny Rail QD Sling Mount instead.

Is a QD swivel included?
No. This is the mount that provides the socket; the push-button swivel that clicks into it is sold separately. Either the 1-1/4 inch QD sling swivel for 1-1/4 inch slings or the 1 inch D-ring version will fit it.
Will it fit a KeyMod handguard?
No. This is the M-LOK version. M-LOK slots are plain rectangles; KeyMod slots have a round keyhole at one end. If your handguard is Picatinny rather than either of those, use the Picatinny Rail QD Sling Mount.
What does the eight-position lock actually do?
It fixes the rotational orientation of the socket in one of eight indexed positions rather than letting it turn freely. That means the sling always leaves the rifle at the angle you set, and the mount cannot creep around under the weight of the rifle.
