EOTech G33 vs G43 vs G45: Which Magnifier?

Three flip-to-side optic magnifiers arranged in a row

EOTech's G-series magnifiers sit behind a holographic sight or red dot and flip to the side when you want a fast 1x picture. Three models cover the lineup, and all live in our EOTech magnifiers collection.

G33 — the classic 3x

The G33 is the long-standing 3x magnifier, pairing naturally with EXPS and XPS holographic sights on its quick-detach mount. It is the default choice for stretching a holographic sight to mid-range.

G43 — a slimmer 3x

The G43 is also 3x but designed to be lighter and more compact, with its own flip mount. If you want 3x magnification in a trimmer package, this is the one.

G45 — more reach at 5x

The G45 steps up to 5x for more magnification and target ID at distance. You gain reach at the cost of a tighter eye box and more weight — the same 3x-vs-5x trade covered in do you need a magnifier.

Getting it right

Whichever you choose, match the magnifier's height to your sight so the reticle sits centered in the magnified image, and mount the two close together. If you find yourself magnified most of the time, consider an LPVO instead — see red dot vs holographic. Browse all red dot magnifiers and the wider EOTech collection.
