The BCM 1913 Light Mount Modular is an ambidextrous aluminum light mount for AR-15 and M4 rifles, attaching to a KeyMod handguard and presenting a 1913 Picatinny stub for a weapon light.

Instead of clamping the light body, this mount provides a short 1913 Picatinny rail section at the 3 or 9 o'clock position, so it takes any light built for a Picatinny interface rather than one specific body diameter. Change the light and the mount stays on the rifle.

It is fully ambidextrous, so a single part serves either side, and it offers an optional high and low mounting position for the 1913 rail section — useful for clearing a bulky handguard or bringing the light in tight against it. The body is low-profile aluminum and weighs 0.9 oz (26 g). Fitting uses a Torx wrench with the screws tightened to 30 in-lb, and Bravo Company USA suggests blue thread-locking compound if you want the fasteners secured.

How It Compares

This is the KeyMod version and will not attach to an M-LOK handguard — for that, choose the BCM 1913 Light Mount Modular for M-LOK, which is the same mount in the other interface. If your light has a bare body rather than a rail clamp, the BCM Modular Scout Light Mount is the KeyMod mount that grips the body directly instead.

Key Features

  • 1913 Picatinny stub — takes any light with a Picatinny interface, not one body size
  • High and low rail positions — set the light close in or clear of the handguard
  • Fully ambidextrous — 3 or 9 o'clock from a single part
  • 0.9 oz (26 g) aluminum — low-profile and snag-resistant
  • Defined torque figure — 30 in-lb, with blue thread-locker optional

Compatibility & Fitment

Fits KeyMod handguards and forends on AR-15/M4 rifles. Once fitted it accepts any weapon light built for a 1913 Picatinny interface. No light is included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the KeyMod or the M-LOK version?
This is the KeyMod version. The same mount is made for M-LOK handguards as the BCM 1913 Light Mount Modular for M-LOK. KeyMod slots have a round keyhole at one end; M-LOK slots are plain rectangles. Check your handguard before ordering — the two are not interchangeable.

What do the high and low positions do?
The 1913 rail section can be fitted in either a high or a low position. Low brings the light in tight against the handguard for the slimmest possible package; high lifts it clear, which helps on a bulky handguard or when a light head would otherwise foul the rail.

Which lights will it take?
Any weapon light built to clamp onto a 1913 Picatinny rail. Because the mount presents a rail rather than gripping the light body, it is not tied to one light diameter and it stays on the rifle when you change lights.

What torque should I use?
Bravo Company USA specifies 30 in-lb on the Torx fasteners, and suggests blue thread-locking compound if you want them secured against vibration. Re-check the fasteners after the first session.
